Unity Through Action: Youth Volunteering Collective

Join young people aged 13-18 from across Newcastle in building unity, skills, and community impact through shared volunteering.

Unity Through Action brings together young people from diverse backgrounds for weekly volunteering sessions. Activities include neighborhood clean-ups, care package deliveries for the elderly, community gardening, charity admin support, and food bank assistance. Each session features planning, reflection, leadership training, and team building to develop decision-making, empathy, resilience, and employability skills.

Key Benefits

For Young People

Stay off the streets, resist negative peer pressure, build discipline, form genuine friendships across divides, and gain confidence for adulthood and future jobs.

For Communities

Visible improvements in local spaces, practical help for those hit by the cost-of-living crisis, and stronger cohesion.

Outcomes:

Personal growth, civic pride, and a celebratory showcase event highlighting participant achievements.

What We Do?

How It Works

Recruitment happens via local schools, faith-based youth groups, and community organizations in Newcastle and Gateshead. Sessions run weekly, with community steering from parents, leaders, and residents to keep activities relevant.
